JewelCheck · AI Jewelry Identifier

How JewelCheck Works

From photo to identification insights in four steps. Here is what happens when you analyze a piece of jewelry with JewelCheck, what you get back, and what is free versus premium.

Four steps from photo to insights

  1. Take a photo of your jewelry

Start with a clear, well-lit photo of the piece you want to identify. A close-up of any hallmark or stamp helps JewelCheck read fine details.

  2. Upload your photo to JewelCheck

Open the app and upload the photo, or capture one directly within JewelCheck. Add a close-up of a hallmark or gemstone if you have one.

  3. Let AI analyze your jewelry

JewelCheck's AI examines the metal, gemstones, hallmarks and style shown in your photo. Analysis usually finishes in a few seconds, depending on your connection.

  4. Explore the identification results

Review the materials, gemstones, value range and history the app suggests, then save the piece to your collection. You can revisit and compare pieces at any time.

What you get in every analysis

Free versus Premium

JewelCheck is free to download and you can start analyzing jewelry straight away. Premium features are available via subscription, offered weekly or annually and billed through Apple; current prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region, and you can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.

Current prices appear in the App Store listing and can vary by region, so JewelCheck does not repeat them here. You can change or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings, and access continues until the current period ends.

Languages and devices

JewelCheck's interface and results are available in eight languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish. The app runs on iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later, and is also available on Mac with Apple silicon and on Apple Vision Pro.

JewelCheck provides AI-powered identification insights from photos. It is not a substitute for a professional gemological certification or appraisal.

How it works: FAQ

Does JewelCheck work offline?

Your saved collection lives on your device, so you can browse past photos and results offline at any time. Running a new analysis needs an internet connection, since the photo must reach the identification service and the results must come back.

How long does an analysis take?

Most analyses finish in a few seconds once your photo uploads, though the exact time depends on your connection and photo size. A slower connection or a large file can add a little extra time, so try again if a result seems delayed.

Can I cancel Premium?

Yes. Premium subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, so you can cancel at any time from your device's subscription settings without contacting JewelCheck. Cancelling stops future renewals, but you keep Premium access until the period you already paid for ends.
